Julie Flavell

Hello, my name is Julie Flavell and I am the Secretary and a Trustee of WELCOME, St Georges. I have been working with the children in Mottamodia, Cairo since 2001, in 2009 I was asked by St George’s church if I would take over the work with the children, in 2010 I set up WELCOME, St George’s charity and it is one of the best things I have ever done. People ask me why I do it, that is a difficult question to answer, all I can say is when you see the children’s faces and the pleasure the summer camps give them you know the answer. Egypt is a wonderful country but the people are amazing, I am truly blessed to be able to not only call them my friends but my extended family.
